EAO Congress and Exhibition
Alpha-Bio Tec is proud to be participating in the 28th Annual Scientific Congress and Exhibition – The bridge to the future - hosted by EAO in Lisbon, Portugal between September 26-28, 2019. It will be a continuation of celebrations in 28 countries around the world marking the company’s 30 years of implant expertise, as well as the launch of the Alpha-Bio Tec brand in Portugal.
Alpha-Bio Tec’s participation in EAO will be in the Nobel Biocare booth (B14-B16) as part of the Nobel Biocare Systems (NBS) showcasing the wealth of the NBS multi- portfolio brand – a professional partnership of top international brands offering leading dental solutions worldwide. In the booth, Alpha- Bio Tec will be showcasing the complete family of innovative NeO implants, as well as its range of cutting-edge digital enablers solutions.
At the EAO research poster exhibition, delegates will have the unique opportunity of meeting Prof. Ofer Moses, the researcher of one of Alpha-Bio Tec’s latest studies selected by EOA - Effect of high insertion torque on the coronal surface roughness of implants with different macro-geometries. An in-vitro study. This study revealed that the original coronal surface roughness of an implant is influenced by the degree of friction during implant installation in-vitro: in high torque values, a decrease in roughness will occur accompanied by a rise in temperature, indicating that clinicians should seek the minimal torque that ensures good primary stability without changing original, classical implant surface roughness.
Three Alpha-Bio Tec speakers will also be presenting their research findings at EAO.
Dr. Emilio Corvino, will be presenting his study entitled Clinical and Radiographic Outcomes of Implants with the Same Morphology and Different Connections, a RCT, which compared clinical and radiographic differences between implants sharing the same morphology with two different connections, and measured implant success and survival, primary and secondary stability and correlation between MBL changes and clinical variables.
Prof. Dr. Endre Varga will be presenting Guidance Means Accuracy: A CRT on Freehand vs. Guided Dental Implantation, the first randomized, controlled clinical trial to compare all three known types of static guided dental implant surgery with each other and with freehand surgery.
Dr. Yaniv Mayer will be presenting A non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis using mechanic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory treatment: 1 year follow up, which offer a new protocol of a non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis conjunction with combination of local antiseptic and anti-inflammatory treatment.
“EAO is a great platform for us to present our strength and leadership in the dental implant industry, which is further exhibited by our inclusion in the NBS booth of leading international brands”, states Shani Biran, Alpha-Bio Tec Head of Global Marketing. “It enables us to exhibit our constant commitment to R&D and how we bridge between market demands, trends and research in order to deliver innovative, cutting-edge products for our customers and their patients around the world.”
