Engineering manager
About the Position:
Are you a passionate engineering leader? We're rapidly expanding and need a dynamic Engineering Manager to build and grow our engineering team. As an engineering manager you will oversee a consolidated engineering team responsible for driving operational excellence and innovation within the factory. The engineering team includes chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and infrastructure. The team supports the factory to implement new technologies, sustain existing ones, and solve high-level malfunctions to assure on-time delivery and supply to our customers. This role is critical in ensuring seamless production, product quality, and on-time delivery by leading the implementation of new technologies, optimizing existing processes, and resolving complex technical challenges. You will engage with senior management, stakeholders & external partners. You will report directly to Head of Operations.
What responsibilities will you have?
Align activities of the group with evolving Business Unit priorities.
Manage, mentor, and develop engineers.
Organize, define and build detailed roadmaps, project plans & processes including prioritization, scope, schedules, resources budgets, quality and risk management plans, and verification and validation plans.
Prioritize work and organize timely responses to urgent situations.

Provide technical direction and leadership.
Implement new products, technologies, and process from R&D phase to mass production phase.
Oversee the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.
- Be the focal point for all process engineering issues & the Point of contact for other departments: R&D, Production, QA.
- Coach and lead engineering team members including managing attendance, projects follow ups, daily support, problem solving, training, etc.
- Troubleshoot complex problems in surface treatment machines and process abnormality.
- Issue and sign PO.
- Open/close production line.
- Determine and approve new products process.
- Approve or reject parts that had problem during process.
- Initiate process improvements and develop new process/machines.
You will be a perfect fit for this role if you meet the following requirements:
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in chemical or machining Eng.
- 3 years' experience as Engineer manager/team leader at production facility.
Critical Skills/technical know-how:
- Management skills.
- Hands on approach.
- Wide organization view.
- Understand machining.
- Understand chemical systems.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-company interfaces & interactions (e.g.: QA, R&D Product Management, Marketing etc.).
- Understand supply chain and production workflow.
- Communicate with outsourced suppliers.
Critical Experience:
- At least 3 years in a similar role Medical Device Industry - MUST.
- Experience working in a high regulatory environment-CE Marking and MDR.
- Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably.
