Titanium and its alloys in dental implantology
The aim of this article is to evaluate titanium grades and surface treatments for dental implants, comparing Grade 4 and Grade 5 alloys for their mechanical properties and biocompatibility. It focuses on SLA surface modification as an effective method to enhance osseointegration and long-term survival, with evidence suggesting that Grade 5 ELI (Grade 23) with SLA-treated surfaces provides optimal outcomes.
