Trade Compliance Specialist

What responsibilities will you have?
Global Trade Compliance Operations:
Oversees logistics providers while optimizing for cost efficiency, delivery times, and route optimization. Manages daily pre-alerts and tracks shipment status to ensure timely freight arrival and documentation compliance.
Troubleshoots shipping delays and coordinates with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery processes. Uses industry knowledge to recommend and implement logistics improvements.
Coordinates customs release processes, maintains detailed import/export logs, and works with finance to ensure timely payment of duties and taxes. Handles document archiving and governmental agency examinations as needed.
Purchasing:
Manages the full procurement cycle, including issuing and tracking purchase orders based on BI reporting and inventory management. Conducts regular inventory checks and maintains strong supplier relationships while ensuring optimal stock levels.
Maintains comprehensive Item Master List with HS codes, origin information, and regulatory requirements. Manages pre-alert tracking and supports customs brokers with documentation for import/export clearance, including certificates of origin and proof of export for returned goods.
Prioritizes procurement activities based on business requirements and manages supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality standards. Processes invoice approvals and manages credit reconciliations.
Logistics:
Serves as the primary liaison between Envista Global Trade Compliance, internal/external customers, Israeli Customs, and government agencies, ensuring regulatory compliance while meeting service commitments and company objectives. Collaborates with SMEs to maintain compliance standards for classifications, origins, and values.

Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Logistics or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a lean environment.
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:
- General familiarity with international shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
- Background in import/export concepts and processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Priority is an advantage).
- Knowledge of MITI export controls is a plus.
Critical Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in import/export administration.
- Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in working with customs brokers and trade compliance operations.
